Life in June

I figured that since we just started our blog in August, we had a lot of catching up to do...I didn't want to leave out anything that's happened so far with Mackenzie! :) Since there is a LOT to update, I'll make it short and sweet with pics!

Matt and I bought our first house in Sherwood on April 17 and Mackenzie's room was the first to be completed - of course! :) This is Mackenzie's crib in her nursery - ready and waiting!!

After the house was put together (for the most part), Mom and I headed back up to Fayetteville to wait on baby Mackenzie. We filled our time with fun stuff like getting massages, facials, shopping, and new hair cuts! :)

Nonna took some great pictures of Matt and I to show Mackenzie one day when she is older how she use to be in Mommy's belly!

This is a very sad pic! My absolute best friend in the entire world, Mary Gillin (now Mary Crawford!!), was also my college room-mate for three years and this is us saying goodbye before I was admitted to the hospital for our induction since that was my last time at our apartment. I love you Mary!! :)
This is Matt and I getting in the car packed and heading to the hospital for the induction the afternoon of June 18 - Nonna's birthday!!
Mary and Kelli - my two best friends, were at the hospital the night I was induced hanging out and enjoying the moment!
I love them so much!! :)
Matt and I were so excited that we were going to be meeting our sweet baby girl soon!
We were watching funny videos on Youtube of babies laughing - the sweetest sound ever!
Dr. Seale - the most wonderful doctor in the entire world...seriously! I stayed in Fayetteville for the purpose of delivering at Willowcreek Women's Hospital with Dr. Seale. She is truly amazing!
Nonna is getting very excited to meet baby Mackenzie!
This is everyone in the waiting room during lunch on June 19...waiting for the sweet girl!
It's a good thing I didn't know they were eating Chik-fil-a!!
The most amazing moment I've ever experienced - holding my baby for the first time.

My hero...thanks for being so great Mama!

Taking our sweet girl home - yay!!
It was a long trip home to Sherwood from Fayetteville, but it was so worth it! The Glovers and the Whiteheads left us a welcome home present that was so sweet!

Newbies!

Hello everyone!

We're starting a blog so that we can keep in touch with family and hopefully journal all of the fun stuff our new daughter, Mackenzie, is bringing into our life.

We're new at this, so bear with us. I'm not even really sure what all you write about in a blog, but this should be fun!

For starters, Mackenzie will be six weeks old on Thursday...it has flown by so fast!! She is getting bigger and cuter every single day! She has just recently started paying attention (or so we think) when we talk to her and just the other day she smiled a few times and started "talking". It was the cutest thing ever and I caught some of it on video. Hopefully when I learn how to get videos on here, I will post it for viewing!

Mackenzie is sleeping better and better all the time. She has started going to bed between 10 and 11 at night and waking up around 4 or 5 in the morning. I LOVE IT! She's still napping during the day, but not as much and when she's awake she stays awake much longer than before.

Matt has been out of town at a furniture market in Las Vegas for work since Wednesday and he will not be back until Thursday night. Unfortunately he missed her first real smile, but I know that she will have plenty ready for him when he gets back! Mackenzie and I have been hanging out and spending quality girl time together and it has been lots of fun, but we miss Daddy tons and can't wait for him to be home!!

Well, that's all for our first post...I will post some pics when I figure out exactly how to do that! :)
