38 weeks

How far along: 38 weeks, 5 days

Baby's size: 19.5 inches long, 6.8 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yep.  Trying to stay as cool as possible, so wearing lots of skirts and dresses when I can.

Stretch marks: A couple of small ones around my belly button.  I've noticed that the left side of my tummy (my left when I look down) has a few more marks than my right side which seems about right since it always seems like her back/body is leaning to my left and all of her little elbow/knee jabs poke me on the right!

Sleep:  Going to bed around 9 or 10...too late for my taste!  Sleeping okay, but still waking up in the middle of the night.  Mackenzie has also been waking up multiple times in the night...I'm wondering if she has a clue as to what's about to happen!

Best moment this week:  Talking to Dr. W last Wednesday and deciding on an "eviction" date for Sloane! If she doesn't show her pretty face this week, we're scheduled to go in for an induction next week.

Miss anything:  Being able to sleep on my back, being able to get out of the bed like a normal person, and I'm definitely missing my energy!!  Every little task is exhausting and the big ones (like keeping up with Mackenzie) have become really hard!

Movement:  Baby girl is moving a lot!  She's a strong girl so some of her jabs even hurt a bit.  For the last couple of months, she consistently has a "party in my tummy" around 9:30.  It will be interesting to see if she is still up at that hour when she's here.

Food cravings:  Back to eating raisin bread toast, cereal, and a big glass of OJ for breakfast in the mornings.  Still drinking lots of ice-cold water all day and night.  Also craving starches like pastas, potatoes, and breads....ahem, mac-n-cheese.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  No - thank goodness!

Gender: It's a GIRL!!!!  Sloane Elizabeth Parker!  We got a few gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Caddy this weekend that Mrs. Caddy had personalized.  I squealed because I love seeing her name/monogram on things in person!  So exciting!

Labor signs:  Nope.  Still at 1 cm and not effaced.

Symptoms: Fatigue, pregnancy brain, swollen feet, legs, face...swollen everything!

Belly button in or out: Out.

Wedding rings on or off: Off (for about a month now)

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, excited, and anxious about "getting everything done" before she gets here.  And, just to keep things honest for my memory's sake, I've been a tad irritable these days.  I do feel my mood switching up a little faster...I'm blaming it on the heat!

Looking forward to:  Meeting this sweet baby girl sometime in the next week and seeing Mackenzie become a big sister.  :)
