Aunt Kelli and Nana Whitehead stopped by to visit Mackenzie. It had been so long since they'd seen her. Mackenzie, who was playing and doing tummy time, greeted them with a big smile!! She was even wearing the ADORABLE outfit that her Aunt Kelli got her before she was even here!

Aikman's Birthday Party

My niece, Savanna Aikman Lee, will be ONE YEAR OLD on October 9 and we had her first birthday party this past Saturday! It was so fun to get to celebrate with family! I feel like a broken record when I say this, but I can't believe time has flown by so fast! If there is one piece of advice I would give to anyone, it's ENJOY IT! Whether you have a baby or not, soak up every moment because it won't last forever! Take a step back and look at the big picture - and thank God for every day!

Growing Girl

Mackenzie, you are talking more and more, especially while you're on the changing table! Our favorite sound that you do is "ooooh" because you have the cutest face when you say it! Your lips form this perfect little "o" and we can't help but smile! You've also found your tongue and you stick it out every chance you get!


















You also still LOVE your bath-time. Even when you're fussy the tub makes you a happy baby!! You seem to be in amazement at the water and the sounds that it makes. It's so fun to share with you!

Big Girl Crib

In other big news - Mackenzie is sleeping in her crib!! The first night she slept in her crib was Thursday, Sept. 25. We are in a great routine where we have playtime, bath, feeding, and bed by 7:30. It's working beautifully - Mackenzie sleeps better than ever (even though she has been sleeping through the night since she was a month old!) and she's such a happy baby! I can't tell if it's because of the routine or the fact that she's 3 months old aka the "golden age"! Regardless, it's awesome and now she's sleeping in her big girl crib!
