35 weeks
I know it's been TOO LONG since I posted last, but I better write about this pregnancy while she's still in there!
How far along: 35 weeks, 1 day
Baby's size: 18 inches long, 5 1/4 pounds
Maternity clothes: Yep. Trying to stay as cool as possible, so wearing lots of skirts and dresses when I can.
Stretch marks: A couple of small ones around my belly button.
Sleep: Going to bed around 9 or 10...too late for my taste! Sleeping okay, but still waking up in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: The baby shower that my sweet friends threw for Sloane on Sunday was so wonderful! I even had family come into town that I didn't think could make it and it was so great to catch up with them. Love you Meemaw & Anne!
Miss anything: Being able to sleep on my back, being able to get out of the bed like a normal person, and I'm definitely missing my energy!!
Movement: Baby girl is moving ALL THE TIME! She's getting big and strong so I'm feeling every little movement and some of them even hurt a bit!
Food cravings: For a while, I was eating raisin bread toast, Honey Nut Cheerios, and a big glass of OJ for breakfast EVERY MORNING. It was delicious...that's kind of fallen away, but I'm still eating the cereal. I'm craving Goobers like a crazy person...you know - the chocolate covered peanuts they have at the movies? YUM. I'm also, thankfully, craving ice-cold water all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No - thank goodness!
Gender: It's a GIRL!!!! Sloane Elizabeth Parker!
Labor signs: No, but we have started our weekly checks with Dr. W. Yesterday was my first weekly appointment and she said that I was dilated to 1 cm, not thinned out much at all, and she could feel the baby's head. Everything looked great and my goal is to just keep her in there for at least two more weeks so that she'll be full term. After that, she can come whenever she pleases...as long as it's not too far past her due date! The heat is miserable!!!
Symptoms: Fatigue, pregnancy brain, swollen feet, legs, face...swollen everything!
Belly button in or out: Out.
Wedding rings on or off: Off (for a few weeks now)
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, excited, and anxious about "getting everything done" before she gets here.
Looking forward to: Meeting this sweet baby girl sometime in the next 5 weeks and seeing Mackenzie become a big sister. :)

19 weeks
I saw a friend updating her blog with weekly stats on her pregnancy and thought it would be fun to do. I'm almost half-way done, but better late than never! :)
Due date: August 1, 2012 is the official due date, but I originally had July 29 as a due date and then the measurements at our last ultrasound said the due date was July 27. Who knows?!
How far along: 19 weeks, 1 day
Baby's size: 8.5 ounces, size of a large "heirloom" tomato
Maternity clothes: Borrowing super cute stuff from a sweet friend and re-using what I can from the last time. I definitely needed to start wearing maternity clothes MUCH sooner than I did with Mackenzie. Thank goodness I've had multiple mamas tell me that's pretty normal for the second baby. Whew.
Stretch marks: No
Sleep: Mackenzie's bedtime is around 8pm and the last few months I've been going to bed right after putting her down. I'm sleeping pretty well, but I'm normally a pretty heavy sleeper and that's not the case lately. Almost any little thing wakes me up and then I have a hard time going back to sleep. I usually wake up at least once in the middle of the night. I guess God's just getting me ready for what's to come! :)
Best moment this week: Talking about names with Matt and going to lunch today to shop around for baby cribs. Also, I bought the first clothing item for the baby. I got a "Big Sister" t-shirt for M and a matching "Little Sister" onesie for little miss. When I showed it to Mackenzie, she said "look how CUTE!" which made Matt roll his eyes and made my heart leap for joy!
Miss anything: Honestly, I don't normally drink very often, but the other day while we were out eating pizza, I really wanted a frosty mug of beer to go with it! Ha!
Movement: YES! Little miss is moving around so much and I absolutely LOVE it! It makes me smile so big that my face hurts. Best feeling in the entire world.
Food cravings: I haven't really been craving anything specific, but when I do think of something, I want it five minutes ago. I get hungry quickly and it's a mad dash to eat ASAP.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Brushing my teeth is still making me a little queasy...I think it's the after-taste of the toothpaste. I've tried a different kind, but it was worse.
Gender: It's a GIRL!!!!

Mackenzie has a BIG announcement!
That’s right! We are excited to announce that baby #2 is on the way! And in case you didn’t notice in the pictures above, Mackenzie is THRILLED about becoming a big sister. Our estimated due date is August 1, 2012 and we could not be more excited!
